Clearly, there is a lot of interest in this important area.<\/p>\n<p>As often the case at ed tech conferences, I had a well-informed and participative crowd, and I learned some thing too. Here are a few to share:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.osalt.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>OSAlt.com<\/strong><\/a> is a site that lets you search open source software programs by their commercial counterparts. This is a very useful companion to <a href=\"http:\/\/sourceforge.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">SourceForge<\/a>. (I found some open source <a href=\"http:\/\/www.osalt.com\/premiere\" target=\"_blank\">video editing programs<\/a> on this site. I&#8217;ll be checking those out and reporting back.)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wisc-online.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Wisc-online<\/strong><\/a> is an OER repository from the state of Wisconsin.<\/li>\n<li>There is a <a href=\"http:\/\/moodle.org\/mod\/data\/view.php?d=13&amp;rid=886\" target=\"_blank\">Moodle plug-in<\/a> for <a href=\"http:\/\/freemind.sourceforge.net\/wiki\/index.php\/Main_Page\" target=\"_blank\">FreeMind<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thanks for those useful tips and for your interest in Open Ed.
