Here are some tips.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>License your work under a Creative Commons license<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThis means that you are saying to others &#8220;It&#8217;s ok to use my stuff without asking first.&#8221;<br \/>\nThe easiest way to do this is to just write &#8220;Copyright [your name], licensed under CC BY&#8221; (or whatever license you choose) on your work.<br \/>\nYou can also use the <a href=\"http:\/\/creativecommons.org\/choose\/\">Creative Commons license chooser<\/a>. Once you choose a license, it will give you a bit of HTML code to paste in your web site. This will make your works more easily found by search engines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Post your work on sites that make sharing easy<\/strong>.<br \/>\nHere are some of my easy-to-use favorites:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/\">Flickr <\/a>for photos<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vimeo.com\">Vimeo <\/a>for videos<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\">Wikispaces <\/a>for wikis<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.curriki.org\/\">Curriki <\/a>for curriculum resources<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/ccmixter.org\/\">ccMixter <\/a>for music<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.freesound.org\/\">Freesound <\/a>for sound effects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These sites all support Creative Commons licensing.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Use formats that make remix easy<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThis means avoiding things like PDFs and using files that folks can easily edit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Tell the world you are sharing<\/strong>.<br \/>\nTweet, post, yell it from the rooftops.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Spread the word about sharing.<\/strong><br \/>\nTell others about the benefits of using a Creative Commons sharing license.
