 At NECC 2009 in Washington DC from June 28-July 1, 2009, there will be many opportunities to learn more about open source software, OER, open content, and more.  Karen Fasimpaur will be presenting two hands-on sessions on open education:

Open-Licensed Content: The Missing Piece
Break free from proprietary educational content! Learn how you can use and customize open-licensed materials, and get inspired to contribute to the world of OER.

Open Educational Resources: Share, Remix, Learn
Master 21st century skills you and your students need to take advantage of free, open-licensed content, including clip art, photos, music, lessons, textbooks, and more.

As in previous years, there will also be an Open Source Lab with thin client, Linux computers for individual exploration and group sessions.
